The HSL Color Model
The HSL Color Model has the advantage over the RGB Color Model that it is more likely to the human description of color thus it can be considered as a user friendly color model. The well-aimed color adjustment becomes easier through it. The HSL Color Model is described through the parameter hue, saturation and lightness. It can be illustrated three-dimensional in a unity cube. The color matrix is a cut plane though the cube that is always runs perpendicular to one of the three coordinate axes. The distance of the plane to the origin is the base value of the matrix.
